Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. As always an easy theme in theory, but how do you make a good and unique photo that stands out? This is what I finally selected.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. Hundreds of persons protesting against deportations of immigrants. A typical situation where it is easy to feel hopeless.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. Here I played with the word Nödvändigt. In swedish you are nödig when you have to go to the bathroom. To make things even more obvious, I let R2D2 stand in line, making Leia have to wait even longer, propably thinking if it is necessary for him to pee right now and there.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. Here I did go metathinking again. What will the other photographers do? Probably taking photos of Midnattsloppet, a big evening run in central Stockholm. Instead we arranged an own running competition, between RD2D and Leia.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. Unfortunatly, the dark side embraced me, because I had to go to the finish line of Midnattsloppet, where a control station was. R2D2 and Leia had to move on to Alderaan and I tried to show how all this thousands and thousands of runners come side by side over the finish line.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. In Stockholm, the place to be (at least historical) when you are out for some fun, dancing, drinking and so on, it is in the parts of Stockholm called Stureplan. One of the famous clubs there are Sturecopagniet and as always, it is crowded with persons wanna come in, guarded by this security person as a modern St Peter in the Pearly Gate.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. This was a hard one. Had to take one, to get to next image. Not a winning image.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. What is more fake than a Hollywood movie about aliens and superhumans? Could it be using plastic figures playing out a scene, in fake snow?

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. I wanted a glowing bulb, but making double exposure photos outside a lamp shop, didn’t work out at all. Instead we did some graffiti with the fake snow, on a wall and there it was, the photo (yes, I cleaned the wall after the shoot).

Jury-verdict: Placed 2-10 in the theme

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. In swedish, rullar can be translated to rolling, but also to rollers. So why not make some rollers compete in a rolling competition? Did get some flashbacks to the original movie Tron while doing this photo.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. Didn’t want to make a photo about fate and destiny, so I found some abandoned buildings. Not my best photo, but the finish line is closing in and I don’t have time to make perfect photos now.

Stockholm Fotomaraton 2017. My partipation number was 2, so here I needed exactly two persons in the photo. To make it two by two, I made them do a duel. Don’t worry, Pippi won the arm wrestling as usual.
